What is Compose?
Compose is SmartMusic’s built-in music notation app that allows users to import, edit, create, assign, and share their own music. Teachers can create original notation from scratch, import notation files made previously, or share content to SmartMusic directly from Finale v27.
Content from Compose can easily be assigned to students and opened in the Practice app with full SmartMusic accompaniment for assessment. Students can also access Compose to explore their own creativity, complete composition assignments, and share creations with their teachers and peers.
Import your own content from MIDI, MXL, XML, MusicXML, or SMZ files.
Edit the music notation from any file that has been imported.
Create original compositions or exercises directly in the Compose app.
Assign content to students, whether it was imported or created within Compose.
Share music via email, private or public links, or directly from Finale v27.
