This month we added 31 new ensemble titles to the SmartMusic Repertoire Library. Included are new pieces for concert band, jazz band, and string orchestra.

Midwest Clinic

Many of the new titles added this month will be performed at the Midwest Clinic, the international band and orchestra conference that happens in Chicago every December.

This conference began as a reading session where directors could discover new repertoire. This remains a primary focus of the event today. If you’re attending Midwest this year, and part of your plan is to listen for new music you might program, we want to help.

We’ve compiled another list of the 73 titles that will be performed at Midwest this year that are currently in SmartMusic. Including are many favorites, like Caravan, Dusk, Salvation is Created, and Invicta.

We hope these additions are helpful and reassuring; it’s nice to discover the music you most want to play with your students is already in SmartMusic.
