On Monday, September 25, 2017, Apple released High Sierra, the latest Macintosh operating system. In light of the new release, we want SmartMusic users to know how they could be affected.
Classic SmartMusic
Classic SmartMusic is compatible with High Sierra. However, Apple has also released a new file system, and compatibility with the new file system requires a separate SmartMusic update. Details and download here.
In a nutshell:
- If you’re on High Sierra and are experiencing problems with classic SmartMusic, check out the link above.
- If you’re on High Sierra and classic SmartMusic is working fine, you don’t need this update.
- If you’re not using High Sierra, you don’t need this update – it has no additional features.
New SmartMusic
The new web-based version of SmartMusic works fine with both High Sierra and Apple’s new file system.
