In the past month, the SmartMusic repertoire library grew to include 32 additional titles including 6 new instrumental and vocal solos and 26 new ensemble pieces for jazz ensemble, marching band, string and full orchestra, and concert band.

“Leadership is inspiring and encouraging others to achieve their full potential.”

This was the definition for leadership that music educator and leadership coach Matthew Arau composed in collaboration with students who participated in his Leadership Symposium, a leadership training retreat he initially established in Spring 2006 for music students while band director at Loveland High School, Loveland, CO.

As we embark on a new year and settle into a new semester of learning, teaching, and playing, we continue to expand the SmartMusic repertoire library with new titles ready to be discovered, assigned, and practiced!

Start the new year on the right notes with our free Healthy Habit Tracker worksheet! Have students choose habit ideas from the Music and Self-Care lists on the bottom of the worksheet (or come up with their own!) to list in the habit column of the spreadsheet.

We continue to expand our unrivaled repertoire library with the addition of 26 new solos, 25 ensemble titles (including 12 flexible arrangements), and one method book.

Being able to look at a brand new piece of music and play it at sight is a pretty amazing skill to have.

This month, we’ve added 24 new titles to the SmartMusic repertoire library, including new pop solos, ensemble titles, and flexible arrangements.
