Did you see the Flash and Supergirl crossover musical on The CW? If you did, you’ll be excited to learn that two songs from the show are already in SmartMusic. We’ve also added four DC theme songs, including Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
If you didn’t see the show, here’s what you missed:
Beginning on Monday’s episode of Supergirl, and culminating in last night’s episode of The Flash, supervillain Music Meister captured the Flash and Supergirl, and the only way they could escape was to sing and dance.
And that they did. Both series’ leads (and the Music Meister) are alums of the television show Glee. Other cast members rose to the occasion as well (many have musical theater backgrounds).
Not only was the show wonderfully surprising, the music was, too. It featured rearranged classics AND new music including “Runnin’ Home to You” (penned by the Oscar-winning La La Land duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul) and “Super Friend” (written by Rachel Bloom and Tom Root).
To celebrate the great music from the show, WaterTower Music has partnered up with our friends at Alfred Music to give away sheet music to both songs, for free, to the first 500 visitors.
This superhero-themed music is available to users of both classic and new SmartMusic, and for the next week it’s even available to users of the free version of new SmartMusic. If you aren’t using it, sign up free today!
