See the Future of Sight Reading Today

When your students become strong sight readers, every aspect of their musicianship improves. Of course, developing strong sight readers requires practice and great sight-reading exercises. Not only do you need to have a limitless supply of these exercises, they also have to be specifically tailored to your students’ needs. To help, we’re integrating a Sight Reading Builder into new SmartMusic.

With this powerful new tool you’ll be able to instantly create an unlimited number of sight-reading exercises. Because you set the parameters, you can provide your students with exactly the type of challenges they need.

We’re making a demo version of the Sight Reading Builder available to everyone even those not yet using SmartMusic for free today. We want your input on how we can make this an indispensable tool for you and your students.

More Details

Today’s demo offers all the features you’ll see in the final version, with the exception of the ability to create assignments for student assessment. Today you can:

  • Create exercises based on ensemble scores, or for individual instruments
  • Access SmartMusic’s predefined difficulty levels
  • Customize every detail of the score, from key signatures to appearance of ornaments
  • Create custom rhythmic figures that will appear for your students to practice

Any templates you create in the demo can be saved locally. When the Sight Reading Builder becomes part of SmartMusic this fall, these templates can be used to easily create assignments.

Access

Today, everyone can create custom sight-reading exercises. Later this fall, you’ll need a paid SmartMusic subscription to access to this tool and use it in the classroom and send related assignments to students with standard ($8/year) or premium ($12/year) access.

Use It Today

Take advantage of your free access to this powerful tool and see how it can transform your students’ sight reading.
