Music Ed Mentor Podcast #038: The Important Role of Music Technology In Education

To bring value to your program, technology needs to provide practical benefits. It has to inspire your students, aid your instruction, or make you more efficient. Ideally, it does all three. If you’re in the search for technology tools that will improve your program and are easy to implement, this is the episode for you.

My guest is music technology guru Dr. James Frankel. But now that we’re all friends, you can call him Jim.

Jim is a widely published author in various state, national, and international journals of music education. He is the author of The Teachers Guide to Music, Media & Copyright Law, co-author of YouTube in Music Education, contributing author for Critical Issues in Music Education, and co-author of Making Music with GarageBand & Mixcraft. In addition to being an in-demand clinician and keynote speaker in the worldwide music education community, he is also is on the board of directors for NJMEA and TI:ME, and is the past president of ATMI.

Join Jim and I as we talk about the role of music technology in education, and share tips to help you with implementation.
