Music Ed Mentor Podcast #71: The Realities of Teaching Online

realities of teaching online

In just a matter of a few weeks, the whole world has changed. It is with mixed feelings that I welcome our new reality. Change is never easy, and exponential change is hardest of all. Our teacher hearts ache for connection with our students.

How on earth can you connect with students when they don’t have internet? How do you teach them when they can’t come into your music room? What about those students who were perfectly at home in your music room because they weren’t at home at home.

For this episode, I’m bringing you a conversation I had with my good friend Jason Heath for his podcast Contrabass Conversations. I hope that you glean a few wisdom nuggets from this conversation, or at the very least, you find some validation, some solidarity. We are all in this together.
