SmartMusic Repertoire Update: May 2018

SmartMusic Repertoire Update: May 2018

This month we’ve added 17 new ensemble titles to the SmartMusic Repertoire Library. Included are pieces for choir, concert band, jazz ensemble, and string orchestra. View the complete list.

New Solos in New SmartMusic

As we mentioned previously, we’re constantly adding solos to new SmartMusic. Typically these solos are also available in classic SmartMusic (where they do not include on-screen music notation). This month, however, we’ve added two solo collections that are available only in new SmartMusic: Easy Classical Themes (Alfred) and Beginning Soloist (MakeMusic). Both are available for band and orchestra students.

Coming soon are two more collections, Concert and Contest Collection (Hal Leonard) and Kendor Debut Solos (Kendor).

Methods

A new method, Habits of a Successful Middle School Musician (GIA), has been added to both new and classic SmartMusic. We’ve also addressed several issues (which existed only in new SmartMusic) in Sound Innovations for String Orchestra (Alfred).

Coming soon to both classic and new are Fiddle & Song (Alfred).

Don’t Have New SmartMusic Yet?

New SmartMusic now includes exclusive method books, on-screen music for solo titles, a built-in music notation tool for educators, and the ability to upload MusicXML files and create full accompaniments. Annual pricing is $39.99/teacher and as low as $13.99/student.

Best of all, you can try it for free.
